Evaluation of 'Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil, See No Evil'

In terms of how this project went as a whole I have learned some new techniques in Photoshop. I have also found the merging of an ape's face with a human's to be unnerving. The reason being that there never has been a missing link discovered that is clearly half ape and half human.

I have learnt from the mistakes made.  However I would like to learn more about how to make these images look more realistic.

I liked the fact that this experiment with mixing a human and ape's face is always personalised. My view of this will be different to someone else's.

I thought the most successful piece was 'Speak No Evil.' It may be because there was no mouth/nose/chin to resolve. The only important factor was the matching of the eyes.

The least successful shoot was the 'See No Evil' composition which coloured the hands black. I found this to be difficult to resolve to a realistic state.

If I could further develop my project I would experiment with alternative ways to merge a man's face with an ape's. Ways to vary this might include making this more of a 3 dimensional result. Another way I could develop this project is by changing the camera angle and using different lenses.

The photographers I have chosen to research inspired me to  see alternative ways of merging animals with humans with using Photoshop/ other morphing programmes or body paint/positions.
